of His household..

my thoughts today are going to come from Matthew 10:25

Mat 10:25  It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

it is enough – for the disciple, that .. he be as his master.

enough; greek ; arketos From arkeō; satisfactory: - enough, suffice (-ient)

it is satisfactory, sufficient – for the disciple, that he be as his master

disciple ( greek; mathētēs From manthanō; a learner, that is, pupil: - disciple.

he be  (greek;ginomai  to cause to be that is, to become) as his is master (greek; didaskalos from didaskō; an instructor (generally or specifically): - doctor, master, teacher.)

first, it is satisfactory for a learner, a student, a disciple – that he be as his master, teacher.

who is your teacher? who is your master? master in websters dictionary is 1. A man who rules, governs or directs either men or business.

who is ruling or governing your life? is it Jesus? is he your teacher? are you learning how to live your life from Him? it is satisfactory that you be as he is.

it is satisfactory that you become as he is. to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you become so Christ-like that people dont even see you anymore.

they only see the Jesus in you.

now with that said.. if they have called the master of the house –Beelzebub (greek; Beelzeboul Of Chaldee origin (by parody upon [ba‛al zebûb]); dung god; Beelzebul, a name of Satan: - Beelzebub.)

Mat 12:22  Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
Mat 12:23  And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
Mat 12:24  But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

If they called our Master, a prince of the devils for His works. for His commitment to God. for His stand for holiness. if they called Him crazy. if they looked on Him with scorn. if they mocked Him. if they crucified Him.

“how much more – shall they call them of His household?”

two things i want to point out from this.

one. if u are receiving persecution for your stand in Jesus. know that Christ knew it was coming and he has supplied all you need in Him. i exhort you too continue in the race. God almighty is there for you and WILL NOT LEAVE YOU!

two. if u are not getting the scorn of the world – then maybe u should check how much you are learning from your Master. how much have you given up of yourself? it is SATISFACTORY for you to be as your Master. it is enough for you to crucify yourself and rise up a new creature in Christ.

the thought i leave you with taken from the Revival Hymn, “The world couldnt get along with the holiest Man that ever lived – how is it – that it can get along with you and me just fine?”

  2. Thank you so much for your message on Matthew. Every believer should strive to be like their "Master" their Lord, Their Christ. The transformation from self-centerness to Christ-centernessn is what God wants us to become. God's blessings, Lloyd
