you wont be little forever..

whew, been surfing the web like crazy trying to get my blog out there! The Lord has laid something on my heart and i pray he helps me to get it out the way that he wants, because thats the ONLY way to touch lives! its His Word, His anointing, His blessing that i need!

1Jn 2:14  I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

i wanna focus on the second part about the young men..

when john talks here commentary has showed me that when he mentions fathers, young men and little children in this and the few verses before it - that he is refering to different levels of a walk with God. like fathers being those who have matured and he specifically says those who believed from the beginning. little children the fresh starters - the new ones to the faith, God tells you thru John that your sins ARE forgiven! (1Jn 2:12) hallelujah! i encourage a personal word study into little children in vs 12 & 13 cause the greek words are different..

but oh to be a young man!! to be past that rough stage between fresh start and over comer! i mean tell me if you agree! there is a place where u have hit a wall! Your newness in Christ wears off and your in a place where - u either persevere or you fall away. i encourage you brother, sister - to run the race!!! this valley maybe low but - God is awaiting!! you will grow out of the little child stage and be transformed into a young man! you will  be strong in the Lord, you will have the Word of abiding in your heart! and the devil will be cast down. you will have won victories! you wont be a helpless baby getting fed milk but you will by the grace of God begin to receive strong meat!

Heb 5:14  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

  3. Wow....great scripture. I love hearing what people think about a passage. There are so many interpretations out there. I hope that this site grows and grows so more people can read your words.

Thanks for visiting our blogsite. I try to do my lesson plans every Sunday. If I do them too far in advance, things always come up and I might not get to finish something from the week before. Good luck!
